- Visually inspect the system to check for visible damage
- Slowly fill the system with water to ensure there is no damage
- Test the water pressure to ensure it is not too high or too low
- Adjust sprinkler heads if needed
- Clean sprinkler heads if needed
- Program the system to ensure adequate coverage of every part of your lawn
